UK Survivor Survey - Open Now

No professionals speaking for us. Our Own Words.

The survey that broke records in 2026 is still open. Every response adds to the UK's largest ever survivor-led, survivor-designed, survivor-reported dataset. The survey runs annually so we can track whether anything is actually changing for survivors.

Take the Survey Now

We hit our target. And we kept going.

1,113 people shared their truth. We are grateful to every single participant who trusted us with their story, to every partner who promoted the project, and to everyone who shared, boosted and created the engagement that made this possible. The work now begins.

1,113 voices and counting

Designed by survivors

Every question was shaped by people with lived experience of domestic abuse. No professional agenda. No assumptions.

Independent review

A 100% independent review of the services that are supposed to support survivors. No funder. No institution. No bias.

Written by survivors

The final report will be written directly by survivors. Not summarised. Not interpreted. Our own words.

What happens now

Analysis and reporting

The team is working through 1,113 responses across 38 report subject areas. Reports are being released as analysis completes.

Co-authors are writing the reports

Over 100 survivors have come forward to co-author sections of the final report. Onboarding is underway. Survivors are writing this. Not professionals. Not academics.

The survey stays open

We will run the survey again in 2027. Every additional response strengthens the dataset. Keep sharing. Keep adding voices.

Tracking change over time

By repeating the survey annually we can hold services and policy makers to account. Are things improving for survivors? The data will tell us.

Survivors are writing this report

Co-author onboarding is underway. Over 100 survivors are contributing to 38 reports covering police, courts, housing, children, accountability and more. Want to stay connected? Sign up for updates.
